What is the minimum for ingredient sourcing?
For runs below 25,000 total sticks, you supply all production ingredients and the complete flavor system. At 25,000+ total sticks across all SKUs / flavors, ingredient sourcing is available by separate quote, subject to formula review and supplier requirements. Standalone bulk blending requires customer-supplied ingredients. Packaging sourcing and formulation sample development remain available for smaller runs. Ingredient sourcing starts at 25,000; volume tolling pricing starts above 25,000.
How much does ingredient and flavor sourcing cost?
Ingredient and flavor costs are quoted for your actual formula, material specifications, run size, and purchasing requirements. They are separate from the online tolling estimate and packaging materials. We confirm the sourcing scope, current prices, freight, and payment terms for the project; there is no universal ingredient price per stick on this page.
Can you estimate costs before my formula is finished?
We can discuss a target ingredient budget and the assumptions needed for a planning estimate. A category such as electrolytes or protein, or the number of ingredients alone, is not enough for a confirmed ingredient price. If the amounts or flavor system still need development, custom formulation is the appropriate next step.
Can I supply some ingredients and have StickPax source the rest?
For 25,000+ total sticks, we can review a combined supply plan. For smaller runs and standalone bulk blending, you supply all production ingredients and flavors. Share the complete formula and identify the materials you intend to supply. We agree responsibility for each ingredient, the required quantities and documentation, and receiving instructions before shipment.
Does sourcing include developing the flavor?
Sourcing an agreed flavor system and developing one are different scopes. If you already have a flavor code and specification, include them. If you need flavor development or changes to the recipe, formulation is separately scoped.
What if my run needs less than a supplier’s minimum order?
A supplier’s pack size or minimum order can exceed the amount consumed by your run. That can change the upfront materials budget. We discuss purchasing quantities and the treatment of remaining inventory as part of the quote; future storage, ownership, and reuse arrangements need agreement.
How long does sourcing take?
Timing depends on the specific ingredients, supplier availability, documentation, samples or approval work, and freight. Share your target date early. We confirm a project timeline after reviewing the materials rather than promising one lead time for every formula.
Can you use a specific brand, supplier, or certified ingredient?
Tell us which requirements are essential. We review availability and supporting documentation for the specified materials. A required ingredient or certification is not confirmed simply because it appears in your brief, and a material-level certification does not automatically apply to the finished product.
Is powder analysis included when you source ingredients?
No. Powder analysis is a separate, optional service using a blend or ingredients supplied by you for that evaluation. It is not automatically included in ingredient sourcing or packaging. Laboratory testing, stability studies, and regulatory work are also separately scoped.
Can you source a cheaper substitute?
We can discuss alternatives against the agreed product targets. A different grade or supplier may change taste, solubility, density, or other behavior. Proposed changes need specification review and, where appropriate, evaluation in the actual formula before approval.
